Former Student, Michael wins Student of the Year at Wirral Met!!!
Fri 25 Jun 2021Michael Lewis, who left us in 2019 has achieved his NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Construction) Level 2. This means he has developed knowledge and skills in areas such as applying solid and finishing plaster and solid render to surfaces and producing and repairing fibrous plaster components.
If that isn't enough, thanks to his endeavours this year, the college has awarded him the title of 'Student of the Year!'
What a fantastic role-model. Well done Michael. Best of luck with whatever your next step is!

'Ello 'ello 'ello!! The Police pay us a visit!
Fri 25 Jun 2021On Wednesday this week, our 'Safer Schools' Officer - PC Emma - and her colleagues joined us for the morning and along with their police car, van and quad bike they gave us all a fascinating insight into modern day policing!
The Safer School Partnership is a formal agreement between schools and Merseyside Police to work together in order to keep young people safe, reduce crime and the fear of crime and improve behaviour in schools and their communities
(and yes, they let us use the sirens!)
The pupils loved the opportunity to chat to our local Police officers and have a look inside the vehicles.

6th Form Team Building
Thu 17 Jun 20216th form spent the morning practising their creativity, resourcefulness and teamwork. A fab task with spaghetti and marshmallows just like Taskmasters!!
The challenge was to see who could build the tallest free-standing tower.
Well done to Leah, Annie, Harry and Ben who won the competition!!
The prize involved cake; hence the happy faces!
