Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is a very successful secondary school for pupils aged 11 - 19 with moderate/specific learning difficulties and additional needs including autism. The school is outstanding in all areas as judged in its most recent Ofsted report and recently gained Autism Accreditation with Advanced Status.

 

Due to our increased number of pupils on roll from September 2024, we are seeking to appoint an excellent, wellqualified and inspirational teacher to join our Mathematics department within this exceptionally successful school. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner who is child-centred and able to meet the diverse needs of young people who have difficulties within a learning and social environment. You must be fully inclusive and interested in the development of the whole child, able to differentiate work and your teaching to meet a range of social, emotional and academic needs. The successful candidate will also be able to create a high-quality learning environment in which pupils are passionate about learning, maintain high standards of planning, assessment and record keeping, and communicate effectively with staff, parents and students. Along with maths departmental colleagues they will plan, implement and monitor a range of strategies to promote a love of maths across the school community. Ability to teach Key Stage 3, 4 and or 5 up to GCSE level

The sucessfull candidates must be hard working, energetic and committed professionals to work in this vibrant and dynamic school. You must also have the enthusiasm and skills to meet the diverse needs of the pupils in school, supporting in the delivery of a range of curriculum subjects and will be able to contribute to the continuing development of the school and its curriculum. Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is looking to recruit a friendly, enthusiastic and proactive receptionist to join our busy admin team. You will be the front face of the school and will be responsible for providing an effective, professional and welcoming reception service including, answering routine telephone calls and face to face enquiries; signing in visitors and sorting and distributing internal and external mail. Undertaking administrative duties such as production of letters, reports and other documents as requested using relevant ICT packages such as Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel and Google and our Management Information System’s database, Arbor.

 

You will also be providing general administrative support e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing, completing routine forms and responding to routine correspondence. Excellent communication skills are essential with as well as the ability to relate to students and parents. It is essential that you are able to remain calm under pressure, using your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.

 

The hours required are 8.30am – 4.30pm with 45minutes for lunch, Monday to Thursday and to 4.15pm Fridays - Term Time Only
