Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is a very successful secondary school for pupils aged 11 - 19 with moderate/specific learning difficulties and additional needs including autism. The school is outstanding in all areas as judged in its most recent Ofsted report and recently gained Autism Accreditation with Advanced Status.

 

Due to our increased number of pupils on roll from September 2024, we are seeking to appoint an excellent, well qualified and inspirational teacher with the ability to work across a wide range of subjects for all ages, to join our exceptionally sucessful school. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner who is childcentred and able to meet the diverse needs of young people who have difficulties within a learning and social environment. You must be fully inclusive and interested in the development of the whole child, able to differentiate work and your teaching to meet a range of social, emotional and academic needs.

 

The successful candidate will also be able to create a high-quality learning environment in which pupils are passionate about learning, maintain high standards of planning, assessment and record keeping, and communicate effectively with staff, parents and students.

 

The successful candidate will be:

  • A strong teacher with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes.
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of subject curricula and assessment requirements for mixed key stages.
  • Be passionate about all aspects of the curriculum, education and the importance subjects have in the wider culture and ethos of the school.
  • Be willing to learn more about the ever-changing needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Due to our unexpected increased number of pupils on roll from September 2024, we are seeking to appoint several outstanding Teaching Assistants at levels 1 and 2. The successful candidates must be hard working, energetic and committed professionals to work in this vibrant and dynamic school. You must also have the enthusiasm and skills to meet the diverse needs of the pupils in school, supporting in the delivery of a range of curriculum subjects and will be able to contribute to the continuing development of the school and its curriculum. Good team working skills, flexibility, reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude are essential. The post holders will also be expected to support the pupil’s general welfare; to develop positive working relationships with the teaching staff, other teaching assistants, therapy and medical staff, administration staff and parents.

 

The hours for each post are Level 1 & 2 = 32.5 hrs per week.

Are you a well-qualified and highly motivated professional, looking to work in a vibrant school? We are seeking to appoint a Food Technician to support the department and work with groups of students or provide 1:1 support within the classroom and as part of extra-curricular clubs and activities. Duties will include preparation of resources for practical cookery and supporting with demonstrations as well as maintaining stock, equipment and keeping excellent hygiene standards. The successful candidate also needs to be flexible and work between departments.

 

To join our team we are looking for:

 

* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

 

* The ability to work on your own and part of a team

 

* A flexible approach to a wide range of duties and the ability to work under pressure

 

* An individual who enjoys working with children and young people

 

Previous experience of working in a school and relevant food hygiene qualifications would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
