GET SET Road to Rio - Team GB and Paralympics GB
Recently Clare Mount has been involved in launching the GET SET Road to Rio Campaign. This is run by Team GB and Paralympics GB and aims to get children into sport on the run up to the next Olympic Games in Rio. The idea behind the campaign is to encourage young people to virtually travel the distance to Rio by taking part in our Road to Rio Challenge. Log your activity through the Road to Rio app or the website. You can run, swim, play hockey or even space hop your way to Rio! Teams of young people log their physical activity in the app or on the Get Set website. Effort is converted to kilometres, and together the team makes its virtual journey to Rio de Janeiro. Young people can log their physical activity individually, or you can add everyone’s together by entering it as a group. It doesn’t matter where the activity takes place – in a PE lesson, at a sports club or even at the weekend with friends and family.
A film crew visited Clare Mount to see how we are helping to launch the campaign and how staff and pupils view it. The videos below where then produced and are being used to promote the scheme.
