Role Models and Catalysts for Change

Food Studies Year 11 Controlled Assessment

Some of the Year 11 Food Studies group completed their practical assessments. Their task was to plan cook and serve a two course meal suitable for a Deli Café. They designed an excellent menu with very tempting high skilled dishes. Everything was made from scratch. On the menu we had

Black pepper Lasagne, Chicken Pie, Cottage Pie, Chicken Chasseur, Spaghetti Bolognaise and Moussaka. They were served with a  selection of home-grown vegetables from our Food Studies kitchen garden. and fresh wild garlic Focaccia, (the wild garlic was also foraged from our garden)

Desserts on offer were

Lemon Meringue short bread bites with homemade lemon curd

Lemon curd Pavlova

Choux buns with hot chocolate sauce

Lemon surprise pudding

French apple tart and Chocolate Roulade.

Well done to the whole team Leah, Mason, Nicholas, Connor, Oliver and Kacey
