A new 'direction' for Clare Mount PE!

Orienteering is a fantastic activity because it takes learning outdoors and it's great fun!

Whilst having fun, participants (of all ages) develop spatial awareness, leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.

Orienteering also helps young people to explore and connect with nature.

Earlier today, Darren from local company; Enrich Education installed Clare Mount's permanent orienteering course. This follows staff training earlier in the week and we are excited to have received some fantastic resources to go alongside the course, including ordnance survey-style maps and compasses for the students to use in lessons.

The course will see a lot of use over the coming weeks/months/years as it forms part of the school's PE, 'forest-school' and science curricula.
