Year 7 trip to Chester Zoo and Barnstondale residential

On Wednesday, 1st May almost all of Year 7 set off on an adventure to Chester Zoo and Barnstondale for a three day and 2 night residential.

At the Zoo, we saw plenty of animals and had lots of fun on the play areas. We arrived at Barnstondale for our evening meal, drumming and marshmallows around the campfire to complete the first action packed day.

The next day saw a full agenda including archery, shooting, climbing, abseiling and teambuilding activities. During the evening, the children enjoyed the tuck shop and their choice of a disco, craft activities, team sports, the sensory garden and the outdoor adventure play area.

Behaviour was fantastic throughout and the children worked hard on their skills of collaboration, cooperation, listening, discussion, leadership, problem solving and following instructions safely.
