Next week is National Cricket Week
Next week (27th June to 1st July) is National Cricket Week and we are going to try and make things cricket orientated next week
Tuesday and Thursday there will be a lunchtime club for cricket which anyone is welcome to join. We normally work together on a Monday and Thursday so it shouldn't be a massive change in routine for the students and will be a fun session
Wednesday is the day that the cricketers are playing in Warrington in the North West Schools SEN tournament, having won the Merseyside tournament 2 weeks ago. This will be our focal point and a great advertisement for the camaraderie and sense of achievement that the students who take part in cricket have felt. We are an "open age" side with players from Year 7 to Year 11 so everyone is welcome and ability is no barrier because that is our job! Just bring enjoyment and a positive attitude
Please see the attached article from last year. The children work with Chris Edwards during the year. He is the captain of England LD side and is a fantastic role model for the students, rubbing shoulders with his fellow greats of the game on a regular basis
