Give it your Max
Clare Mount has been working for a few years with The Youth Sport Trust and Tennis Foundation to inspire young people through the Beyond the Baseline programme which has seen athlete mentors come to school to teach pupils through the values of tennis and resulted in pupils going on trips to places like Wimbledon. Most recently, pupils transitioning from Hayfield have enjoyed tennis sessions with former GB player Anna Fitzpatrick in school.
Now the Tennis Foundation, working in conjunction with Bidston Sports and Tennis Centre, has approached Clare Mount to become a Give It Your Max hub-school. This will involve access to more athlete mentors with former GB player Jade Windley already in the diary to appear at a launch event at Clare Mount on the 9th November. The Give It Your Max programme will also see training for school staff, with Inclusive Tennis CPD planned for the 14th November, as well as coaching in local schools, inclusive tennis festivals and new inclusive tennis coaching sessions at Bidston Tennis Centre on Mondays after-school in the Summer Term. Game, set and match!!!
