Clare Mount Students Play at Tranmere Rovers FC

On an overcast summer's evening, 34 of our students took part in an unforgettable experience - playing on the pitch at Prenton park - home of Tranmere Rovers FC.

Our school football programme has grown from strength to strength over the last few years, especially thanks to the support of our partners, Community Capacity Builders CIC and their weekly coaching programme on Monday nights after school. 

At the end of a long season, Tranmere Rovers FC allow certain community groups to play on the pitch before it is resurfaced for the following season and this was a truly fantastic experience for our students. The Clare Mount group were split into two squads - Clare Mount and CCB Rovers and at full time, the final score was 11-8 to the 'away' team. The joy of playing was far more important than the score line - and ALL of our lucky participants left with lifelong memories.
