Role Models and Catalysts for Change

Clare Mount Cricketers have fun in the sun at Caldy CC

Clare Mount's cricketers travelled to Caldy CC to play two fixtures in the Wirral Schools competition against Mosslands and Caldy Grange Grammar and for many of this magnificent 7 it was their first taste of hard ball cricket. Reeve, George, Philip, Dennis, Sam, Lewis and John represented the school with immaculate behaviour and conduct and were a pleasure to be involved with. We lost by 11 runs to a strong Mosslands side and then by 40 runs to Caldy despite a Bothamesque performance from Dennis with two Caldy wickets clean bowled and the shot of the day down the ground for 4. It was our last tournament with the excellent Mr O'Connell as part of the coaching set up. He has helped every player to develop this year and we will miss him greatly in the Cricket squad. Thanks to Mr Williams and Mr Keefe for dropping us off and picking us up today also
