Year 10 Students Represent England at the ESSF Games in Greece
At the start of summer term, 4 of our outstanding Year 10 athletes represented Clare Mount and England at the European school Sport Federation Games at Olympia and Athens in Greece.
Our boys were joined by youngsters from Serbia, France, Cyprus and Sweden for a week of historic and sporting activities, centering around the build-up to this year's Olympics in France.
Highlights included being in Olympia to witness the signing, by the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, of the official handover documentation of the Olympics to France, playing basketball in unified teams with the other European youngsters and visiting the incredible ancient sites at The Acropolis in Athens.
Seth, Jack, Lewis and Troy were outstanding ambassadors for Clare Mount and England and many of the people we met during the trip commented on their enthusiasm, passion, maturity and exemplary behaviour.
This was a truly memorable experience for all the boys - hopefully captured in some of the photos you can see here!
