We have been delighted to have the expertise of Nic Smith and ex pupil Peter Millar from Wallasey Manor Tennis Club providing Tennis coaching on a weekly basis this term within our Year 8 and Year 9 PE lessons. In 2024 Nic was recognised by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) as Development Coach of the Year. Peter, in addition to being an ex pupil of Clare Mount is also a GB Tennis player having represented Team GB in 2015. So we were delighted when they approached us to offer our young people the opportunity to be inspired through Tennis. 

Each week we have attended the club in Wallasey, giving the pupils the opportunity to play on full size courts and receive professional coaching from both Nic, and her assistant coach Peter. Both the Year 8 and Year 9 groups have loved the experience and it is evident we definitely have some talented tennis players within Clare Mount SSc. We hope further funding will be secured for the 25/26 academic year.
