  • Another positive week of Cricket in the terrible weather

Thu 17 Feb 2022 Paul Kearney

It was great to see some older students back involved this week at cricket. Katie J, as ever, was superb helping with the coaching side. Hopefully the weather can pick up soon in time for the cricket season tournaments. Action shots attached

  • Clare Mount Take Gold Once Again in Fantastic Panathlon 10-Pin Bowling Competition

    Fri 11 Feb 2022 KB

On Thursday 10th February two teams from Clare Mount took part in the first Panathlon-Merseyside 10-pin bowling Tournament at Hollywood Bowl in Liverpool. Our teams each comprised 3 6th-form students and 3 Year 8 students and it proved to be a very enjoyable (and successful!) afternoon.

Team 'A' amassed a total of 589 points, with Adam, Jack and Seth all making treble-figures individually. Team 'B' topped out at 576 points with a colossal score from Mikey of 136 points!!! All of the boys improved their technique throughout and they showed brilliant teamwork throughout; encouraging each other and sharing each others' successful strikes and spares!

Mikey's incredible total proved to be the highest score by ANY individual student in the whole event. Adam won the 'Hot-shot' award for the most strikes / spares by any individual. Team 'A' won the overall competition and Team 'B' finished a highly respectable 3rd!

The students were, as always, outstanding role models and ambassadors for Clare Mount throughout the day.

  • Showtime!

    Thu 03 Feb 2022 Mr R Gore

    Showtime!

Clare Mount students are gearing up to start rehearsals for their next big show. A meeting for all interested students took place this week and over 60 students turned up! Mr Gore will work with students to get ideas together and to plan the show which will involve acting, singing and dancing, plus help behind the scenes. Our super show will hopefully be performed at Easter. If any students want to be involved and didn't make the meeting then please let Mr Gore know.

  • Superstars comes to Clare Mount

Tue 01 Feb 2022 Paul Kearney

    Are you a SUPERSTAR?

Do you have talents that you may be aware of but others have no idea of? I can think in the past we have had a published author who also designed magazines like he had his own publishing company, our very own game designer, scriptwriters, superstar athletes and many more.

I want to know about your talents. I want to make sure that the world knows just how good you are in your chosen field of expertise. Brilliant Bakers, Superb Historians, Geography Geniuses, Francophones, the next Marie Curie, never mind our sports stars?! You name it and I will do my best to get you the best opportunities that I possibly can to maximise your enjoyment and abilities.

Come at 12:30 on Tuesdays in the Library with Mr Kearney

Let's make the most of your talent!
