  • "The Best Time!" Reactions to Clare Mount's Amazing Summer School 2022

    Wed 03 Aug 2022 KB

From 25th July to 3rd August 2022, 60 youngsters took part in Clare Mount's Annual Summer School - This Year coordinated by Full of Beans Fitness and sponsored by the National Holiday Activities with Food (HAF) scheme.

8 days of activities including; dance, fitness, tri-golf, kin-ball, fencing, arts and crafts, tennis, dodgeball, gymnastics, basketball, boccia, New-Age Kurling, football, trampoline, Zumba, sitting volleyball and yoga.

Activities were led by supremely talented coaches Danny, Elliot, Holly, Danielle, Abbie, Patricia and Chloe from Full of beans Fitness with additional activities from Clare Mount's own Mrs Murphy, Mrs Booth and Mrs Corcoran. We also had a visit from Pete from Little Musketeers and Jordan from Community Capacity Builders CIC.

Our own Teaching Assistants; Miss Smith, Miss Durkin, Mrs Kambanis, Mis Blessing, Mr Whyte, Mr Brooks and Mr Holsgrove looked after the day to day needs of the youngsters and ensured they got involved with all the amazing activities throughout Summer School.

Many thanks to Ms Rowland too for helping out with the whole of week 1.

Lindsey Hopkins of Full of Beans Fitness was the overall coordinator of the programme and she did an absolutely brilliant job - keeping youngsters, parents, staff and volunteers happy throughout a hugely successful week of activities.

The Summer School finished on 3rd August with a dance show and certificate presentation in front of parents/carers in the main hall. We were also joined by some VIPs from Edsential, the Community Interest Company responsible for coordination of all HAF programmes for Wirral and Cheshire West.

Just a few of the comments from our parents:

"William had a fabulous time! Can’t thank you enough"

"The Full of Beans team were great and really supportive of my daughter, as were the Clare Mount team. They are all brilliant with the children."

"Thank you so much for all you do! My son has really enjoyed his time and summer school and has had lots of fun, it’s lovely to see him come home with a smile on his face!"

"This summer camp has been really excellent. I felt confident leaving her knowing that she was in good hands. She loved every day learning something new. And it was a real help for me as I work full time. Thankyou so much"

"Heidi absolutely loved summer camp this year she got involved she was excited to go everyday, she was always happy when we picked her up and really seemed to enjoy the experience.
