Unfortunately, as well as the many advantages and fun that these devices can bring, there are also the potential for danger brought with them. A new website has bee put together and launched by the major internet service providers and is found at www.internetmatters.org. It has lots of information on keeping your children safe and covers things such as Cyberbullying, Grooming, Fraud, Sexting, Online Reputation, Radicalisation and more. They have also developed and app, called Cybersafe, that is designed to improve knowledge on ho to keep yourself and your child safe in the digital world. It uses a quiz type game that is designed to be played with your child and is available for Apple and Android devices.

As well as this new site, please use the information on our help and advice page on our Clare Mount website and our E safety page as a large source of advice with staying safe online. Hope you have a very Techy Christmas, Mr Taylor.

    Wed 02 Dec 2015 S. Stanley
Thirteen Year 10 pupils traveled to Greenbank Sports Academy on Thursday 26th November 2015 for a wheelchair handball tournament.  This was a steep learning curve. For our team since we were expecting a have ago session!  In best Clare Mount tradition of having a go, not giving up and doing your best all students entered the spirit of the day and enjoyed five competitive games of wheelchair handball against some fairly tough opposition.  The day progressed well and will participants showed an improvement in their skills.  After lunch all pupils were involved in having a game against each other which was great fun!  After the closing medal ceremony we returned to school hoping that next time we will do better!
