PROJECT ABILITY SCHOOL RECOGNITION AWARD 2015
As well as the tremendous opportunities our own pupils get, our Sports College team of Mr Keefe, Mr White, Miss Green, Mrs Fearnley and Miss Hutchinson run and co-ordinate a range of events and projects across a wide network of partner schools in Wirral, Merseyside and the North West.
The Project Ability winner’s award will be displayed in the school. The award is for the strength of our partnership working with a range of delivery partners and for ‘having our fingers in a range of inclusion pies’! This includes dance, Project Ability and School Games, which benefit thousands of children each year.
Out of 50 other Lead schools on Inclusion across the country Clare Mount was awarded a ‘Project Ability School Recognition Award’ for our ‘Partnership’ work at the recent National Conference, and also selected as one of only 2 schools in the UK to pilot a Special Olympics Europe project getting pupils with special needs to play football in ‘unified’ events alongside pupils from mainstream.
