Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a KS3 pupil.
About the Role:
- Provide one-to-one support for an autistic 11-year-old male pupil
- Support access to the curriculum, adapt learning resources, and promote communication and social skills
- Implement behaviour strategies and provide visual supports
- Provide personal care (toileting, hygiene, changing) with dignity and in line with safeguarding and care plans
- Promote and support the development of independence skills as appropriate
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Monitor and record progress, attend meetings, and support transitions between lessons
About You:
- Experience working with autistic children or those with additional needs
- Training in safeguarding, first aid, and personal care (or willingness to undertake training)
- Knowledge of autism-specific strategies (e.g, sensory regulation)
- Patience, strong observation and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and supporting positive pupil outcomes
