We are delighted to announce that Clare Mount Specialist Sports College has achieved the School Games PLATINUM Mark Award (the highest level possible!) for the 2025/26 academic year.
 
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
 
Looking back at the last 12 months, there are simply too many sports achievements to list, here, as they are a DAILY occurrence! But our students have achieved deserved recognition in football, cricket, basketball, new-age kurling, boccia, tennis, table cricket, dodgeball and rugby. These successes have come about thanks to a superb physical education provision and a wealth of extracurricular and enrichment opportunities shared amongst our entire student body - every day, week, term and year
 
With over 50% of our young people competing in local and regional inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.
 
As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
 
We look forward to applying once again in 2027!
