Our Year 11 GCSE Drama students recently enjoyed an exciting trip to the Epstein Theatre in Liverpool to see the stage production of The Woman in Black. The visit gave students the opportunity to experience a professional performance of the well-known ghost story, which will support their learning as they prepare for their final drama exam.

During the exam, students will be required to write about a live theatre performance, so the trip provided valuable insight into how tension, atmosphere, staging, lighting and sound can be used to create dramatic effect.

It was a fun and memorable afternoon at the theatre for everyone involved—although I'm not entirely sure whether the students were thrilled… or just a little bit terrified!
