Clare Mount Specialist Sports College firmly believes and promotes 'learning outside the classroom'. As part of our school ethos and vision around the Clare Mount 'C.H.I.L.D.' we recognise how important educational visits are to bringing 'learning to life' for our pupils, and also how valuable such experiences are to supporting the Personal, Social and Emotional well-being of our students, as well as helping to improve behaviour and aspirations. The school organises annual trips to theatres and major sporting events, to name but a few, and in recent years have given pupils the opportunity to be Games Makers at London 2012, Junior Golf Supervisors at The British Golf Open in Hoylake in 2014, and part of The Pack at The Rugby World Cup 2015. The school organises annual residential opportunities for pupils to develop their knowledge of local communities and develop confidence, self-esteem and independence skills. Trips include Barnstondale for Year 7, PGL in Shropshire for Year 8, Calvert Trust in The Lake District for Year 9, and a French Trip to Paris for upper school, as well as Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Camps in Hadlow Fields, Wirral, for Year 10 and Quinta, North Wales, for Silver for Year 11.
