Hello, I’m PC Teresa, the Safer Schools Officer for Clare Mount Specialist Sports College and what a really lovely school it is!

A key part of my role is to break down any barriers between young people and the Police through engagement. I visit CMSSC weekly and I am available to assist pastoral staff with any issues as well as to deliver presentations on a variety of subjects throughout the school year.

My aim is to provide a visible and accessible policing presence so that our young people continue to grow with a positive and inspiring image of the Police.

'Safer Schools' aims to build and maintaining positive relationships between young people and the police, Safer Schools officers help to identify underlying causes when students begin to engage in crime or anti-social behaviour and intervene at the right moment to support and avoid criminalisation.
