This term, ICT students have been learning how to use Blockbench, a free 3D modelling tool that has proven to be incredibly accessible and engaging for everyone. Some have focused on customising existing models to create Minecraft skins and celebrity characters, while others have built their own unique models from scratch using digital meshes and textures. This visual, hands-on software has allowed every student to work at their own pace, naturally building up practical problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and fine motor control along the way. The software has been a huge hit, with many students choosing to download it at home to keep practicing and developing their designs.
