Clare Mount Travel to Tokyo Progress

Here is our thermometer to show how much distance the school has covered on the way to Tokyo. When the thermometer is full, we will have covered the distance to get there. Let's get covering those kilometres together. Every walk, jog, cycle or other activity you perform during June and July helps us to reach our goal of 9453 kilometres (the distance from Moreton to Tokyo). This is our progress so far! #teamclaremount

Mission Statement

Clare Mount Sports College strives to be a healthy school and PE plays an important role in this. PE is a practical subject that enables all pupils to actively participate in enjoyable, exciting  and challenging physical activities. PE provides opportunities for the development of physical, personal, social and thinking skills. It encourages respect, excellence, friendship, courage, determination, inspiration and equality.

Pupils follow a range of muti-skills activities to establish a baseline alongside individual and team games which cater for individual needs. Our curriculum has changed over the last few years to meet the needs of our pupils including offering Paralympic sports, trampolining and cycling. In year 7 all pupils do a block of swimming.

Pupils follow Entry Level P.E. which again covers individual, team and creative sports. This is supported by developing leadership in Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and the option of either Sports Leaders awards at level 1 or 2 and BTEC sports (depending on the cohort).
